## Installation


Spectrasonics' Omnisphere is a revolutionary virtual instrument that has been in development for several years. It offers a wide range of hybrid real-time synthesis methods, an extensive library of psychoacoustic sounds, and innovative features that have never been seen before in hardware or software synthesizers. Omnisphere is based on Spectrasonics' patented STEAM engine, which forms the foundation of all performance functions for their instruments.


To install Omnisphere and its accompanying libraries, follow these steps:


1. Copy the Spectrasonics folder from the Spectrasonics.iso image to your desired location on your hard drive. This process may take up to 40 minutes depending on the speed of your HDD. It is recommended to place the folder in the root of the drive, such as D:\Spectrasonics or E:\Spectrasonics.


2. After moving the Spectrasonics folder, navigate to Disk C:\ProgramData and create a new folder called "Spectrasonics". Inside this folder, create a shortcut to the STEAM folder. Specify the path where you saved the Spectrasonics folder, and within that folder, select the STEAM folder.


3. Download and install Omnisphere, as well as any additional libraries like Keyscape and Trilian. Be sure to read the installation instructions provided with each distribution.


4. Download any necessary updates from the first post of the distribution and install them.


5. Launch Omnisphere. During the first launch, a black window may appear. Do not take any action at this point, simply wait. This process can take up to 10 minutes as the necessary files for your system are created. Eventually, the black window will automatically transform into the Omnisphere window.

2. If errors occur when loading certain patches, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot:
